NEW DELHI: India’s T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav added star presence to Wimbledon this week, attending the iconic Grand Slam event at the All England Club with his wife Devisha Shetty. While his appearance made headlines for the glamour it brought to Centre Court, it was his witty and stylish reply to a tennis-themed question that stole the show.Live Score: India vs England, 3rd TestIn a video shared by Wimbledon’s official handle, Surya was asked which tennis shot he’d love to try. With a grin, he said:“They are already pulling off all the shots which are not easy to be played on the cricket field. But there’s one similar shot which I feel is also played on the tennis field - where they run backwards and play between their legs. I think that’s called a tweener. Yeah, that tweener shot. That’s one shot which I want to try when I’m playing on the cricket field.”

Wimbledon had earlier shared a charming picture of Surya and his wife, captioning it: “Bringing the flair to SW19. Delighted to have you at Wimbledon, Suryakumar Yadav!”

As Suryakumar soaked in the tennis action, Wimbledon’s men’s draw was heating up, with Novak Djokovic reaching his 52nd Grand Slam semifinal and preparing to face 23-year-old Jannik Sinner. Carlos Alcaraz and Taylor Fritz will battle it out in the other semi, while Djokovic, now 38, continues to inspire with his longevity.Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel.
