The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially released the exam schedule for the RRB NTPC 2025 Undergraduate (12th-pass level) recruitment. This is one of the most awaited exams for candidates seeking government jobs in the Indian Railways. The Computer-Based Test (CBT 1) for undergraduate posts will be held from August 7 to September 8, 2025. Lakhs of candidates from across the country have applied for this exam, which includes posts like Junior Clerk–Typist, Train Clerk, and Commercial cum Ticket Clerk. To help candidates prepare and plan well, RRB will issue the city intimation slip 10 days before the exam and the admit card 4 days before the exam.
RRB NTPC UG exam schedule 2025
The RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam for undergraduate posts is scheduled to take place between August 7 and September 8, 2025.
This first stage of the recruitment process will be conducted in multiple shifts each day, typically spread across morning, afternoon, and evening sessions to accommodate the large number of applicants. It serves as a screening test specifically for 12th-pass level candidates applying for various non-technical positions.
Exam pattern and duration
The RRB NTPC undergraduate exam will include 100 multiple-choice questions covering:
- General Awareness: 40 questions
- Mathematics: 30 questions
- General Intelligence and Reasoning: 30 questions
The duration of the exam is 90 minutes, and there will be a negative marking of 1/3 mark for every wrong answer.
RRB NTPC 2025 admit card and city slip
The city intimation slip for RRB NTPC undergraduate exam will be released 10 days before the candidate’s exam date. This slip tells candidates about their exam city, exam date, and shift. This is not the admit card but helps in making travel and stay arrangements in advance.Candidates will be able to download the city slip from the official regional RRB websites using their registration number and date of birth.
The admit card (also called e-call letter) will be available for download 4 days before the exam date. Admit cards must be printed and carried to the exam centre along with a valid photo ID like Aadhaar card, voter ID, or driving license. SC/ST candidates can also download a free travel pass from the same portal, if applicable.
