Ranbir Kapoor recently interacted with his fans through a
Zoom
session and talked about taking a long break from acting to spend quality time with his baby daughter
Raha
. He also said that Alia Bhatt will be busy shooting for her upcoming film
Jigra
and he will be at home with Raha.
During the conversation, Ranbir revealed that he hasn't committed to any film after Animalsince he is going to dedicate his time to Raha.
He said that he has taken a long break and he will be at home for 5-6 months, according to his plan. He mentioned that when Raha was born, he was busy shooting for Animal and couldn't give her time.
He also shared that he wanted to take paternity leave and he has got it at the right time because Raha is so expressive now. "She is crawling. She is recognising. She is giving so much love, and she is trying to speak words like Pa and Ma. It’s a beautiful time to be around her, and I am going to cherish this forever,” Ranbir said.
He also gave an update about
Alia
saying that his wife will be busy shooting for Vasan Bala's Jigra, which means he will get Raha all for himself. He also mentioned that Raha is going to turn one soon and they will have a small birthday party with friends and family.
Talking about Brahmastra 2, Ranbir stated that the film is heavy into writing and they are working on it all the time. "It's just last week that Ayan narrated the film to me and he has gone 10 times bigger than Part 1 - his idea, his thought, the character. He is working on War 2 right now. So the plan is to finish War 2 by mid-next year and we start shooting hopefully by the end of next year or the beginning of 2025," he revealed.
He also addressed the criticism the makers faced for the "missing chemistry" between
Shiva and
Isha
(Ranbir - Alia's characters) in the first film. "But definitely a lot of work has already been happening on the film. We understood the kind of criticism for the film, what worked for it and what didn't. So we have put everything into consideration, the dialogue and comments on Shiva and Isha's missing chemistry. A lot of criticism was constructive and we have taken that into our stride and we are trying to understand that and go beyond that," he added.
