CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam Dates 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the draft date sheet for the Class 10 and 12 board exams for the 2025-26 academic session.
The CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2026 are scheduled to begin on the first Tuesday after February 15, 2026, with Class 10 exams commencing on February 17, 2026. The Class 12 exams will be conducted in multiple phases, ensuring major subjects are scheduled on fixed dates. This year, approximately 26.60 lakh students are expected to appear for the Class 10 board exams, while nearly 20 lakh students will take the Class 12 board exams.
For Class 10, major subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Hindi, and English will be held on specific dates, while other subjects will be conducted in multiple phases. Meanwhile, Class 12 exams will follow a structured minor-major subject division, where minor subjects will be scheduled separately, and major subjects will be held on designated dates.
The CBSE Board Exam Results 2026 are expected to be released on April 20, 2026, for Class 10 and May 20, 2026, for Class 12.

CBSE Class 10, 12 ‘improvement exam’ 2026 draft schedule

According to the notice by CBSE, for students taking the Improvement Examination, the second phase will begin in May 2026, with results expected by June 30, 2026.

As per the official notice, CBSE Board Exam 2026 will follow the full syllabus from current textbooks. Science, Maths, Social Science, Hindi, and English exams will have fixed dates. Language subjects will be held on one day, while other subjects will be scheduled over two or three days, depending on student choices and CBSE’s schedule.
