UGC NET answer key objection window

Candidates who find discrepancies in the provisional answer key can submit objections online until July 8, 2025, up to 5 PM. Each challenge must be backed with proper justification and supporting documents or references, such as textbooks or academic resources, to be considered valid.

The objection process can be completed through the official UGC NET portal by logging in with the application number and password or date of birth.A non-refundable fee of Rs. 200 per question is applicable for every objection raised. The payment must be made online via debit card, credit card, or net banking. Objections without payment or incomplete documentation will not be entertained. It is advisable to double-check the question ID and answer details before submitting, as no correction window will be provided for this process.

What happens next

Once the objection window closes, the NTA will assess all the challenges submitted by candidates. A panel of subject matter experts will review the objections and determine whether any changes are warranted. If a challenge is found valid, the answer key will be revised accordingly.

The final answer key, post-verification, will be published on the official website. Based on this revised key, the NTA will prepare and release the UGC NET June 2025 results, which are expected shortly after the final key announcement. Candidates’ scores and qualifying status will depend solely on the updated final key.
