Big B stopped Smita from sitting on floor, eating with lightmen

Smita Patil continues to be remembered as one of the finest actresses of Indian cinema and everyone who knew her felt that she left too soon. As she continues to leave a void, in a recent interview, her son Prateik Smita Patil has shared some anecdotes about her. The actress has worked with Amitabh Bachchan in movies like 'Shakti' and Namak Halaal' and shared a great working rapport with him.

Prateik has now recalled an incident from the shoot of 'Shakti'.He said in an interview on Varinder Chawla's Youtube channel that Smita was so down to earth despite being a star that she would have lunch with the lightmen while sitting on the floor. She would get a huge lunch box from home. Prateik said, "Such a big superstar… Smita Patil, she was sitting on the floor with all the lightmen."That's when once Amitabh Bachchan walked by and stopped her from doing so.

Prateik recalled, "Amitabh Bachchan walked by and he called her to the side. He said ‘listen, you are screwing it up for people like us. However, she would continue to do what she wanted to do. Once, Bachchan had also spoken about Smita as he wrote about her on his blog. He had said that Smita was uncomfortable during the shoot of 'Namak Halal'. "Because, she just could not understand why she was asked to do what she was asked to do in the film..
