Pitch Report - Natalie Germanos and Mithali Raj are at the pitch side. They inform that it’s a fresh wicket and the game will be played on pitch number 5. They further add that the square boundaries are 58 and 51 meters while down the ground it is 65 meters. They mention that today's surface is red soil which is pretty hard and there is a fair bit of grass covering on it. They add that the condition will get better as the evening progresses and the seamers will get a lot more movement but all in all, it is a good wicket to bat. 180 is possible provided the batters play through the line and they reckon that the pitch is a batting paradise.
Deepti Sharma, the UP skipper says that they wanted to bowl first as well. Adds that the wicket looks a bit different today and it may help the spinners. Mentions that the batting order is decided based on the team composition and what works for them. Ends by adding that they are going with the same XI.
Harmanpreet Kaur, the Mumbai skipper wins the toss and opts to bowl. She says there was some seam movement upfront in the last game and therefore they want to bowl. Shares that the young players in Amanjot Kaur and Sanskriti Gupta have been doing well and she is happy for them. Closes by saying that Jintimani Kalita is replaced by Parunika Sisodia in today’s match.

Toss news - Mumbai Indians Women have won the toss and have opted to field
The other night we had a really good strip here. It played beautifully. It is a new pitch and we have moved to pitch no. 5. The dimensions - 58 and 51 meters square and 65 meters straight. Today's surface is a red soil surface, it is pretty hard and there is fair bit of grass covering on it. Not much help for the spinners but it is going to aid the seamers in the powerplay. As the evening progresses there's a chill in the air and a light breeze blowing across the ground, I think that is the reason the seamers are getting lot more movement but all in all it is a good wicket to bat. Even 180 is possible on this wicket provided the batters play through the line. Red soil is perfect for batting, we have played our domestic cricket on red soil and it is a batting paradise.
