US President Donald Trump wasted no time making a dramatic statement after being sworn in as the
47th President of the United States
. Shortly after taking the oath of office, Trump signed his
first executive orders
at a packed Capitol One Arena in
Washington
.
After signing the documents, Trump turned to a tray of ceremonial pens laid out before him, selected one, and flung it into the cheering crowd. The moment electrified the arena, prompting applause and cheers.
Without missing a beat, Trump grabbed the remaining pens and tossed them one by one to supporters at the front and on the sides.

- Instructing all governmental departments and agencies to tackle the rising cost of living.
- Withdrawing the United States from the Paris climate agreement.
- Establishing a governmental decree to protect freedom of expression and prevent speech censorship.
- Terminating what he terms as "weaponisation of government".
