University of Mumbai’s Centre for Distance and Online Education

MUMBAI: The University of Mumbai’s Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) has opened the online application window for its postgraduate entrance examinations in Master of Management Studies (MMS) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA).

Applications, which began on June 28, will be accepted until July 17, 2025, via the official portal: forms.epravesh.com/MumbaiUniversity. The entrance exam will be held online on July 20, 2025.The MMS and MCA programmes are both two-year postgraduate degrees offered in online mode through CDOE and are recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). This ensures the courses meet national standards of academic and professional relevance.MMS equivalent to MBA with three specialisation optionsThe MMS programme, which was approved for online delivery by the AICTE and UGC from the academic year 2021–22, is officially recognised as equivalent to an MBA. Students enrolled in the MMS course may choose from three areas of specialisation: Human Resources, Finance, or Marketing. The programme has a total intake capacity of 720 students, offering working professionals and graduates a flexible route into advanced business education.

MCA programme redesigned for industry needsThe MCA programme has been revised into a two-year structure, aligning with the latest industry demands in computing, software development, and IT systems. With an intake capacity of 2,000 students, the programme is designed to accommodate a wide pool of applicants from across the country.
