Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar has released a notification inviting applications for the position of Officer on Special Duty (OSD) on a contractual basis. The positions are open across multiple GNDU-affiliated colleges in Punjab.The online application process is currently open and will continue until July 14, 2025. Applicants must also submit a printed copy of the completed application form, along with the required documents, to the Registrar, GNDU, by July 21, 2025.The post is open to serving or retired approved college principals or university professors from Punjab. The maximum age limit is 70 years. The appointment will be for an initial period of two years, with the possibility of yearly extension.A total of 17 vacancies are available at colleges in Verka, Pathankot, Jalandhar, Nakodar, Sujanpur, and other locations. The selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly remuneration of ₹50,000.

Step 1: Visit the official website www.gndu.ac.in.Step 2: Click on the “Online Registration” tab and select “Pre-Registration”. Choose Advertisement No. 6/2025 from the dropdown.Step 3: Enter your basic details and complete mobile number and email verification.

Once verified, you will receive a Registration ID.Step 4: Log in using your Registration ID and fill out the detailed Registration Form, including personal, academic, and experience-related information.Step 5: After carefully reviewing all the information, click “Lock Registration Form”. You will not be able to make changes once the form is locked.Step 6: Go to the “Application Form” tab and click on “Apply for the Post”.

Select the relevant subject/department and campus preference, then submit the form.Step 7: Pay the applicable application fee online via debit card, credit card, or net banking.Step 8: Once payment is successful, print the final application form.Step 9: Affix the same passport-sized photograph used in the online form and sign the printout.Step 10: Send one copy of the signed application form along with all required self-attested documents (qualifications, experience, category/domicile certificates, etc.) by post to:The Registrar, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar – 143005, PunjabNote: Retain a second signed copy of the form for your records.
