Sunny recalls mom beating him with slippers

1 week ago 355

The recent episode of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ witnessed an unexpected revelation as

Sunny Deol

and

Bobby Deol

. Known for their reserved demeanor, the

Deol brothers

shared intimate anecdotes from their childhood. They opened up about their upbringing and the discipline enforced by their mother,

Prakash Kaur

.
In a rare display of honesty, Bobby Deol disclosed that despite being the elder sibling, Sunny had never resorted to physical punishment.

Bobby humorously remarked, "No, no. I get scared even by looking at his eyes." He further emphasized that their father,

Dharmendra

, had never touched them, as his mere presence was enough to instill discipline.

Prompted by Archana, Bobby elaborated on their childhood discipline, acknowledging that their mother, Prakash Kaur, played a significant role in shaping their upbringing. Sunny, chiming in, reminisced about instances when he incurred injuries while playing and yet received scolding and punishment from their mother. He recounted, "I used to get hurt, and my mom would still beat me up with chappal, and I would be bleeding."

It is hard to believe that a man who scares the enemies off with his roar, used to get a beating with a slipper as a kid. However, jokes aside, these candid anecdotes from their family made the audience fall in love with the Deols all over again. Talking of the Deol family, veteran actor Dharmendra shares a deep bond with his children from his first marriage to Prakash Kaur. Alongside Sunny and Bobby, Dharmendra has two daughters, Ajeeta and Vijeta. Following his marriage to actor and politician

Hema Malini

, the family expanded with the addition of daughters Esha and Ahana. Despite Dharmendra's celebrity status, Prakash Kaur has maintained a low profile, seldom appearing publicly.

Moving on to the professional front of the Deol brothers, Sunny was last seen in the highly acclaimed film ‘Gadar 2,’ while Bobby's recent appearance was in Animal. Looking ahead, Sunny is gearing up for the Hindi film ‘Baap,’ and Bobby is set to star in the Tamil film ‘Kanguva.’ Additionally, Sunny is slated to feature in Rajkumar Santoshi’s ‘Lahore, 1947,’ as well.
