Shah Rukh Khan set for Met Gala debut; Sabyasachi sends fans into a frenzy with 'Bengal Tiger' hint

With the Met Gala 2025 just hours away, excitement is reaching fever pitch as Shah Rukh Khan gears up for his much-anticipated debut at the world’s most prestigious fashion event.
Adding to the buzz, celebrated designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee has dropped cryptic hints about the actor’s red-carpet look, setting off a fan frenzy. Taking to social media, the designer shared two intriguing posts reading “King Khan” and “King Khan Bengal Tiger,” sparking widespread speculation about the superstar’s outfit.

Many fans believe SRK will don pieces from the designer's latest collection, possibly including the intricately designed Bengal Tiger bracelet he showcased over the weekend. Others were quick to draw parallels to Khan’s iconic Devdas look, with one fan commenting, “Going by the Bengal Tiger hint, I’m guessing SRK will be wearing a dhoti kurta at the Met Gala. God, my excitement just went through the roof—he's looked heavenly every time he’s donned those.”

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh has officially arrived in New York ahead of the event. Ditching his usual star-studded entourage, the actor was spotted walking through the airport with his longtime manager, Pooja Dadlani. Dressed in a relaxed ensemble—white T-shirt, grey jacket, and blue jeans—the superstar managed to make a statement with his uber cool style. Photos and videos of his arrival quickly went viral across social media platforms.
This year’s Met Gala is themed “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”—a tribute to the rich history and influence of Black fashion, coinciding with an upcoming exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
SRK won't be the only familiar Indian face on the red carpet. The actor will also be joined by pregnant star Kiara Advani, along with Diljit Dosanjh who will also make their red carpet debuts. Priyanka Chopra will also make her return to the iconic red carpet.

The 2025 gala will be co-chaired by an eclectic mix of creatives, including Pharrell Williams, Colman Domingo, A$AP Rocky, and Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton.
