Karan Johar had always envisioned Kajol in the lead role but felt apprehensive about approaching her. At the time, she had just gotten married, and he worried she might turn down such a big project. While promoting Kesari Chapter 2, he took a moment to respond candidly. “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham 2 is not happening,” he said.
