IPL Auction 2025 Live: Where is the auction?
For the first time in IPL history, the auction will be held in Saudi Arabia. It will take place in the Abady Al Johar Arena in the city of Jeddah. The arena has a capacity of 15,000.
It is part of the continued foray by Saudi Arabia into sports. De facto ruler Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has backed extravagant investments into sports - teams and events - with the ultimate goal being hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2034.
Saudi cricket federation chairman Prince Saud bin Mishal said that staging the auction reflected the kingdom's "commitment to developing the sport and showcasing its position as a global destination for sporting events".

Rishabh Pant, Mitchell Starc, KL Rahul, Jos Buttler, Shreyas Iyer and Arshdeep Singh have entered the IPL auction and could invite some big bids. All of them are marquee players and will go under the hammer first.

IPL Auction 2025 Live: 574 players enter the auction
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the IPL Auction! A total of 574 players will be auctioned over the course of two days on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Of those, 366 are Indians and 208 overseas, including three from Associate teams. Of them, 330 are uncapped players - 318 are Indians and 12 from overseas.
From that, a total of 204 slots need to be filled by the 10 franchises with 70 available for overseas players. We will start the auction with the marquee list which has been broken down into two sets - a first since 2018.
IPL Auction 2025 LIVE: After the conclusion of Day 3 of India vs Australia Test, the Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction will take centre stage in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Sunday. After months of off-field strategy and scouting, it will boil down to pure business as 10 franchises look to solidify their squads for the 2025 season and beyond.
The two-day auction will be held on Sunday and Monday from 3.30pm IST onwards.
In all, 574 players including 366 Indians and 208 overseas, will be keen on filling the maximum of 204 slots (70 overseas) available for the upcoming season.
