23-year-old Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal shared a heartwarming moment with Kumar Sangakkara, Rajasthan Royals' director of cricket, before Day 2 of the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy Test match at Edgbaston, where India posted a commanding 587 in their first innings while England struggled at 77/3 at stumps.The youngster, who scored 87 runs in India's innings, was seen having a heartfelt discussion with Sangakkara near the boundary ropes. The interaction led to a spontaneous moment where Jaiswal excitedly hugged the former Sri Lankan captain, who warmly reciprocated the gesture.Dhruv Jurel, who was also part of the exchange, was amused by Jaiswal's playful behavior and pointed out the young opener's enthusiasm.

Jaiswal's innings of 87 runs, falling just 13 short of his second century in the series, demonstrated his composed batting and fearless approach at the top of the order.

India's strong first-innings total was built around Shubman Gill's record-breaking knock of 269. The innings was further bolstered by Ravindra Jadeja's 89 and Washington Sundar's contribution of 42.

The decision to bat first under overcast conditions proved beneficial for India, as they capitalized on the opportunity to post a substantial total.England's response with the bat was quickly derailed by Akash Deep, who replaced the rested Jasprit Bumrah.

Along with Mohammed Siraj, Deep's impressive opening spell reduced England to 13/3.
