Best known for his 2023 directorial debut 'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan', Singh is said to have impressed Zoya with his sensitivity and style, qualities she believes will do justice to the spirit of 'Gully Boy'.Reportedly Zoya and Reema always felt Gully Boy had more to offer, and Arjun brings a new lens to it. Sources say that the team is confident that Arjun will carry forward the story with much expertise, without losing the charm of the first part.
Released in 2019, 'Gully Boy' was inspired by the real-life journeys of Mumbai rappers DIVINE and Naezy.
