It allows citizens to store, share, and verify documents and certificates in a digital format. For CBSE students, this platform acts as a digital repository for marksheets, migration certificates, and passing certificates.
Why use DigiLocker for CBSE results?
CBSE has partnered with DigiLocker to make academic documents digitally available immediately after result declaration. These documents are:
- Authenticated by CBSE and legally valid.
- Securely stored under the student’s Aadhaar-linked profile.
- Easily downloadable and shareable for college admissions or job applications.
Steps to access CBSE marksheets via DigiLocker
Students can follow the steps below to access their marksheets once the results are declared:Step 1: Visit DigiLocker Portal or Download the App
- Go to www.digilocker.gov.in, or
- Download the DigiLocker mobile app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Step 2: Log In or RegisterExisting users can log in using their mobile number, Aadhaar number, or username.
- First-time users must register using their mobile number and verify it through a one-time password (OTP).
- Set a strong security PIN for future access.
Step 3: Access the ‘CBSE’ Section
- Once logged in, navigate to the ‘Issued Documents’ tab or use the search bar to locate ‘CBSE Results 2025’ or ‘Central Board of Secondary Education.’
- Click on the appropriate result option (Class 10 or Class 12).
Step 4: Enter CredentialsStudents will be prompted to provide the following details:
- CBSE Roll Number
- School Number
- Admit Card ID
- 6-digit Access PIN (shared with schools by CBSE)
This access PIN is crucial and must be obtained from the student’s respective school before accessing the documents.Step 5: View and DownloadUpon successful verification, the marksheet, passing certificate, and migration certificate (if applicable) will appear on screen.
- Students can download the documents as PDF files.
- The records will also remain stored in their DigiLocker account for future use.
Security and AuthenticityAll documents accessed via DigiLocker are digitally signed by CBSE and are legally valid under the Information Technology Act, 2000. There is no need for further attestation or physical verification for most academic or official purposes.

- Verify that the roll number, school number, and admit card ID are entered correctly.
