Blake Lively demands financial records from Justin Baldoni, asking the reason of '$400 million' lawsuit amid Taylor Swift getting a subpoena

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have been throwing fiery shots at each other, yet again. After Taylor Swift was subpoenaed for her involvement in ‘It Ends With Us,’ as a response Blake Lively has asked for the financial statements of Justin Baldoni because why exactly did he sue her for $400 million?

Blake Lively demands financial statements

According to the reports obtained by TMZ, Blake Lively’s attorneys are suing her co-star, Justin Baldoni, Wayfayer Studios and others involved, to hand over the financial statements, citing that if they want to sue for $400 million, they have to prove the reason that it really costs that much. The legal team sent a letter to the judge on Friday asking the individuals involved should give the records, which they claim they have already tried before. When the counsels of both the parties met, Justin’s team stated that they would only give “non-privileged documents concerning their damages,” and not the documents Lively requested. It seems that Baldoni and Wayfayer studios are required to state how they arrived at the huge amount.

This comes as a latest development about the Lively-Baldoni case, after Taylor Swift was dragged through the mud for signing her song for the film. After the 41-year-old actor’s legal team sent a subpoena to Taylor Swift, her rep gave a statement.

Taylor Swift's rep stated...

“Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see 'It Ends With Us' until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history,” the spokesperson said to the aforementioned portal.“The connection Taylor had to this film was permitting the use of one song, 'My Tears Ricochet.' Given that her involvement was licensing a song for the film, which 19 other artists also did, this document subpoena is designed to use Taylor Swift's name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case,” they added.

Taylor Swift's involvement exceeded a mere song...

However, Justin claims this is not all Taylor was involved in the film. Taylor Swift was allegedly involved in casting Isabella Ferrer as the young Lily Bloom, where she gave a thumbs up to his casting. Additionally, Blake Lively called Swift her ‘dragon’ who would go to any lengths to protect Lively with the help of her power, and Baldoni felt he was being butchered by Ryan Reynolds, and the two best friends during the meet.
