In a bid to spark curiosity and nurture an appreciation for the automotive sector among young learners, the
Automotive Skills Development Council
(ASDC) has joined forces with the Central Board of Secondary Education (
CBSE
) to introduce the National Automobile Olympiad (NAO) 2024. This collaborative effort aims to immerse school students into the dynamic realm of automobiles, shedding light on industry advancements and career pathways.
The NAO 2024 is tailored for students from classes 6 to 12 across all educational boards, aiming to ignite interest and deepen understanding about India's flourishing automotive landscape.
With registrations already exceeding 850 schools, the Olympiad is poised to become a hallmark event, welcoming students of all ages. It will be conducted in both English and Hindi, ensuring broad accessibility and inclusivity.
FR Singhvi, President of ASDC, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "The National Automobile Olympiad is more than a competition; it's a gateway for children to grasp the dynamism and technological evolution of the mobility sector." He highlighted the diversity of skills required in the mobility sector, affirming that students from any field can thrive in it.

Dr. Biswajit Saha, Director (Skill Education) at CBSE, lauded the collaboration, emphasizing its significance in integrating industry-relevant skills into the educational framework.
