In the tragic turn of events, actor Mukul Dev, who is well known for his work in both television, Bollywood, and regional cinema, has passed away. The actor who was highly lauded for his versatility, breathed his last at the age of 54. According to the Ians report, the actor passed away Friday night, and his friends arrived at his home on Saturday as they got the news. The cause of his demise has not been disclosed as of now. The friends and family are in a state of profound grief and shock.Meanwhile, actress Deepshikha Nagpal, a close friend of the actor, confirmed the news on social media by sharing an Instagram Story that featured a nostalgic photo, accompanied by the message "RIP."
Remembering him, Vindu Dara Singh also shared a video and wrote - "Rest in peace my brother #MukulDev ! The time spent with you will always be cherished and #SonOfSardaar2 will be your swansong where you will spread joy and happiness to the viewers and make them fall down laughing !"
Remembering his legacyMukul Dev was born in New Delhi to a Punjabi family with connections to a village near Jalandhar. His father, Hari Dev, served as an assistant commissioner of police and was instrumental in introducing him to Afghan culture.
His father was fluent in Pashto and Persian.The actor had an early exposure to the world of entertainment when he was in class 8. He got his first pay cheque for impersonating Michael Jackson for a dance show organized by Doordarshan. And as far as his proper Bollywood debut is concerned, it was alongside Sushmita Sen in 'Dastak.' He has since worked in several television shows, Hindi and Punjabi movies. His work both as an intense actor and someone who could tickle the funny bone has always been appreciated by the audience.
The actor was last seen in the Hindi film 'Anth The End.’
