Yug Devgn on his debutThis marked Yug Devgn’s first media interaction, and he was candid about his inspiration. “I actually got inspired by him (Ajay) because he has always done so well, and all of you know that,” Yug said at the event. “I love him, and he is the reason I am doing this.” He also mentioned how his father helps him train in the gym, and that he follows Ajay's fitness regimen closely. Ajay Devgn, on the other hand, was beaming with pride over his son's debut. While he admitted that he didn’t interfere much in the dubbing process, he said he encouraged Yug to stay confident and give it his best. “I feel very proud,” Ajay shared. “I remember that when he was rehearsing, the very first day I got a call from the studio that they wanted to keep a few of his recordings to use in the film because they were very good.” He also added that Yug called him for feedback after recording some of his lines, after seeking permission, of course.The duo also expressed their shared love for The Karate Kid franchise. Ajay, a self-proclaimed Jackie Chan fan, said he has followed the films since the very first one and even enjoyed the spin-off series Cobra Kai. Yug echoed the sentiment, admitting that growing up watching the franchise made the voice work feel natural. Karate Kid: Legends features Jackie Chan, Ralph Macchio, and Ben Wang and is all set to hit Indian cinemas on May 30, with Ajay and Yug Devgn voicing characters in the Hindi version.
