WT20 WC: England vs West Indies Live Score

Right then, with all the pre-match formalities wrapped up, it’s time for the action to begin!

With the final group stage showdown just moments away, Heather Knight and Hayley Matthews lead their teams onto the field, hearts pounding and spirits high, for the national anthems. The West Indies’ anthem will thunder through the stadium first, followed by England’s!

PITCH REPORT - Anjum Chopra is joined by Lisa Sthalekar at the middle for the pitch analysis. Anjum starts by saying that the temperature is in the mid-30s while the breeze flowing across will assist the pacers a bit. Adds that the square boundaries are 53 meters and 63 meters while the straight one is 73 meters which will need great timing to be cleared. Lisa joins in and says England will have to adapt to this venue where they haven't played yet and pace has troubled them in the past. Mentions Chinelle Henry could trouble their batters with that tight line and upset England who might want to post somewhere around that 140-run mark.

Heather Knight, the captain of England Women, says that she would like to bowl first but they won't mind batting first as the pitch is a bit dry. She continues that they have a good momentum from the past couple of games and they would bring their best cricket to achieve the results. Ends up saying that Alice Capsey comes back into the playing XI.

Hayley Matthews, the skipper of West Indies Women says that they have been quite successful chasing and want to stick to that strength. Adds that they just want to go out and play the best brand of cricket and look to win. Mentions that there are two changes on the side with Chedean Nation coming in and with Stafanie Taylor missing out they have added more depth to their batting with the other change.

England Women (Playing XI) - Danni Wyatt-Hodge, Maia Bouchier, Alice Capsey (In place of Sophia Dunkley), Nat Sciver-Brunt, Heather Knight (C), Amy Jones (WK), Dani Gibson, Sophie Ecclestone, Charlie Dean, Sarah Glenn, Lauren Bell.

West Indies Women (Playing XI) - Hayley Matthews (C), Qiana Joseph, Shemaine Campbelle (WK), Deandra Dottin, Chinelle Henry, Aaliyah Alleyne, Chedean Nation (In place of Stafanie Taylor), Zaida James (In place of Mandy Mangru), Afy Fletcher, Ashmini Munisar, Karishma Ramharack.

TOSS - West Indies Women have won the toss and elected to BOWL first.

I think it's very exciting. I love going against the world's best and me and Deandra have great battles when we play against each other because we are people that want to get one up on each other because we play against each other so often and play in the same team with each other. So, I think it's very exciting. I'll start looking tonight at how they go about their things but I'm not going to concentrate on them too much and go about the way I'm doing stuff

England skipper Sophie Ecclestone

I think after that first defeat we did speak a lot about how we want to come back and how we want to do it as a team and I think everyone was up for the challenge from that moment. Obviously in World Cups you lose one game early on, it does put the pressure on, but I think the team has been wonderful with the way they've handled the pressure and just everyone in a good mood, everyone in good spirits and I think everyone's up for the challenge, that's been the biggest thing

WI skipper Hayley Matthews
