The stage is set for an exciting clash between Delhi and Gujarat! Meg Lanning and Shafali Verma are walking out to open the batting for Delhi, while Deandra Dottin will lead the Gujarat attack with the ball. Let's get underway!

Gujarat captain Ash Gardner expressed hope that her team could replicate their strong bowling performance from the last game. She also acknowledged the potential impact of dew on the match, having experienced it in their previous encounter at the same venue. Gardner confirmed that there would be no changes to the Gujarat's lineup. Reflecting on her captaincy experience, Gardner expressed her enjoyment of the role and praised her team's collective efforts, highlighting the impressive partnership between Beth Mooney and Harleen Deol in their previous match. Gardner also singled out her team's bowling unit as a major positive and expressed her hope that they could secure a win in the upcoming match.

Delhi captain Meg Lanning assessed the pitch as a very good batting surface, noting that teams posting strong totals have been able to put pressure on their opponents. Lanning expressed satisfaction with her team's ability to switch on during games, despite having a couple of days off from training. Looking ahead to the match, Lanning confirmed that there would be one change to the Delhi lineup, with Titas Sadhu replacing N Charani. She praised the overall performance of her bowlers, emphasizing the importance of her pace bowlers making the most of the conditions and making life difficult for the Gujarat batters from the outset.

Delhi (Playing XI) - Meg Lanning (C), Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Annabel Sutherland, Marizanne Kapp, Jess Jonassen, Sarah Bryce (WK), Niki Prasad, Shikha Pandey, Minnu Mani, Titas Sadhu (replaces N Charani).

Gujarat (Playing XI) - Beth Mooney (WK), Dayalan Hemalatha, Harleen Deol, Ash Gardner (C), Deandra Dottin, Phoebe Litchfield, Bharti Fulmali, Kashvee Gautam, Tanuja Kanwer, Meghna Singh, Priya Mishra.

TOSS - Success for Gujarat ate the coin flip. Gujarat's skipper, Ash Gardner has decided to BOWL first.

We are going to have a bowl. It was a pretty good surface the other night, our bowlers have stemmed the run flow and hopefully we can do that today as well. There was some dew last time and hope batting becomes easier later on. It has been a challenge but having some international expericence and players has helped. Different people have stood up at different times but most exciting thing has been our bowlers; be it Kashvee or Mona.

Toss news - Gujarat Giants Women have won the toss and have opted to field

We are back on pitch number 5. 65 meters is the longest boundary straight, 50 and 59 meters on the square. Looks good. Gujarat Giants scored 180+ on this pitch. It is quite hard and there is some grass covering. There is runs on offer once again. The atmospheric conditions will also play a part; there is going to be dew later on. The spinners will also have some help. The bowlers should make the batters hit to the long boundary.
