When Ranveer Singh sarcastically called Karan Johar's show 'nepo-biased', and Alia Bhatt couldn't hide her discontentment

Bollywood and the term nepotism appear to be two faces of the same coin. Interestingly, a lot of industry insiders have time and again spoken about nepotism. Sometimes, they have used raw, harsh words, and sometimes they have highlighted the existence of this phenomenon in the industry through funny satires. And this takes us back to the time when ‘Bajiroa’ star Ranveer Singh took a friendly dig at Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt and shared that the filmmaker never thinks twice before favoring his beloved actress over everything.

“It’s Koffee With Karan, and it's nepo-biased.”

In one of the old segments of the ‘Koffee With Karan’, Ranveer Singh, single-handedly engrossed the audience with his signature glibness, which was subtly sprinkled with drama. As Alia Bhatt sat next to him on the couch, her co-star remarked on “nepo bias” on the show. In a friendly banter during the quiz, when ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ actor felt that Karan was favouring Alia, he humorously commented, “It’s cool, it’s Koffee With Karan, and it's nepo-biased.”

“Thoda aur struggle kar lenge”

This friendly dig at Karan and Alia did not satisfy Ranveer's desire to tease. Looking towards Alia and Karan, who were standing beside one another, Ranveer said, “Oh look at this, Hum Saath Saath Hain!” Reacting to the same, Karan told Ranveer that he will stand by Alia and said, “Haan hum saath-saath hain. Kya kar loge?” (yes, we are together, what will you do)

Ranveer Singh, in his sarcastic tone, commented, what could he do except, “Thoda aur struggle kar lenge,” (some more struggle). He then dramatized his wife Deepika Padukone’s famous dialogue, “Tum kya jaano Karan babu?”

On this, Alia called Ranveer a ‘sore loser’ for the way he behaved, while Karan laughed it off.
