Virat Kohli does not celebrate with team amidst Avneet Kaur controversy; netizens say trolls have 'broken a strong man'

In a nail-biting clash that saw Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) edge past Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by just two runs, it was Virat Kohli’s absence from the post-match celebrations that stole the spotlight rather than the team's hard-fought victory.
Despite RCB pulling off one of the most dramatic wins of the season, Kohli appeared rather glum. Cameras captured the star batter walking off the field in silence. He was later seen sitting alone in the team’s box, sparking a wave of speculation and concern among fans.
This shift in his otherwise jovial and fun-loving behaviour comes in the wake of an unexpected social media controversy involving Kohli and actress Avneet Kaur. The incident began when eagle-eyed fans noticed that Kohli's verified Instagram account had liked a post from a fan page dedicated to the actress, leading to online gossip and trolling.
Addressing the chatter, Kohli posted a clarification via his Instagram Story, explaining the situation. “I’d like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding,” he wrote.

Still, the damage seems to have been done. Following last night's match, social media has been flooded with emotional messages from fans expressing their worry and support. One fan wrote, “What happened to you my man... Today you completely looked off.” Another added, “They broke him.”

Another said, “People have broken a strong man. Like literally people have problems with everything Virat Kohli does. How much can a person tolerate this? Chin up champ, we all are with you.”

Another viral post read, “Finally got the video of the winning celebration and Kohli actually looks off. Not used to watching the wins without his celebrations.”
Meanwhile, on the personal front, Virat and Anushka were in the news lately when reports seemed to confirm their decision to move to the UK to raise their two children Vamika and Akaay.
