Selena Gomez has made and broken records multiple times with her music, but since Wednesday night it is her personal life that is keeping her in the limelight. The beautiful singer Selena Gomez announced her engagement to her now-fiancé Benny Blanco just a year after their dating.
The Grammy Award-winning singer took to her social media handle and shared a photo of her new engagement ring, followed by pictures from her proposal. Along with the pictures, she wrote - "forever begins now.."
Within no time, the post blew up on social media with over 4 million and increasing likes within one hour of Gomez announcing the news. All the fans and admirers of Selena commented on the post and showered their choicest blessings. They all in their ways wished a happily ever after for the singer.
Amid the pool of those comments, a name that caught our attention was Taylor Swift. Elated by the news, Taylor couldn’t help but express her excitement at the engagement announcement of her friend. The ‘Fortnight’ singer not only liked the post of Gomez, she drop in on the comments section. “Yes I will be the flower girl,” volunteered Taylor Swift.

According to TODAY, both the singers Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez became friends in 2008. Reportedly, when they met, they were still in a relationship with members of the Jonas Brothers. Selena and Nick Jonas were together, while Taylor Swift was dating Joe Jonas.
For the last 16 years, these two independently strong artists have been friends. Further, as Selena is ready to walk down the aisle, and if everything falls in the right place for Travis and Taylor, then Swift will also not take too long to follow suit.
