Filmmaker Tarun Mansukhani is gearing up for the release of 'Housefull 5', and ahead of the film’s release on June 6, he was seen promoting it alongside the cast and crew. He has weighed in on the ongoing discussions surrounding the implementation of eight-hour workdays for women in the film industry, particularly for new mothers.

While he expressed openness to the idea, he emphasised that successful execution hinges on proper planning.Tarun Mansukhani's reaction to 8 hour workday for new mothersIn an interaction with India Today, Mansukhani said, “No problem. Eight hours? I’ll need that many extra days and then we’ll go ahead. That’s it. All I’m saying is, ‘Tell me in advance’.”He highlighted the logistical complexities of a film shoot, pointing out that schedules often depend on actor availability, location access, and tight financial constraints.

“You can’t come to me at 11 am and say, ‘Oh, I need to leave at 5.’ I have scenes to finish with other actors, a location that may not be available again, and a budget to look into,” he explained.
