In an interview with Galatta India, Taha Shah Badussha shared that he almost got some projects but couldn't seize the opportunity for various reasons.

The actor was first offered Aditya Roy Kapur’s role, Adi, in ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’. He could not land the role, and he added that Aditya is a bigger star than him and he loves him so much. Taha believed that he was not as mature then for that role.

According to him, whenever there's backlash, it's not just about how talented the person is. It also depends on other things like how well the actor fits with Deepika, Ranbir, or the height. Taha also stated that there are lots of factors at play that an actor can't control and that he takes everything in a positive sense.
