Recently ,Sushmita Sen shared some surprising insights during a conversation at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2023.

She revealed that she used to undergo biannual checkups each year due to a family history of heart conditions. However, earlier this year, she experienced a

heart attack

while shooting for her OTT show 'Aarya' in Jaipur.

, the Chief Managing Editor of Entertainment and Lifestyle at Hindustan Times, Sushmita disclosed that the action scenes we see in the third season's trailer were filmed shortly after her heart attack.

Sushmita described this experience as cathartic, as it brought together the real and reel life in a unique way. Despite the dark circumstances, she viewed it as a new beginning for both herself and her character Aarya on screen.
She explained that her parents have a history of heart conditions, which is why she had been going for checkups every six months. Her last checkup was just six months before her heart attack, and everything seemed fine, making the sudden occurrence shocking.

Sushmita emphasized the important lesson she learned from this health scare: that life has an uncertain deadline. She found motivation in the fact that she survived the massive heart attack with no lasting damage, recognizing that there is still much purpose and fulfillment left in her life.
Sushmita's most recent appearance was in the web series 'Taali,' where she portrayed a trans woman named Shree Gauri Sawant. 'Aarya' season 3 is set to premiere on November 3.
