Suniel Shetty talks about Bollywood’s declining support

Suniel Shetty has built a diverse career as an actor, producer, entrepreneur, and TV personality over the past three decades, featuring in over 100 films. In an interview, he reflected on how advancements in technology have transformed communication, resulting in diminished personal interactions within the Bollywood industry.Changing Dynamics of Support in BollywoodIn an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Suniel spoke about the declining support in the industry today. He explained how people used to meet each other in person, but now they just send messages. He said, “Earlier, when someone’s daughter got married, we used to personally take invitation cards and a box of sweets. But today, people have started sending e-cards and stopped making phone calls. So, you can just blame that.”The Value of Personal Communication

Shetty explained that people have evolved to rely heavily on sending messages, but he believes a simple phone call-like asking a loved one how they are-carries a much deeper meaning through tone and voice, something that text messages lack. He mentioned that he rarely responds to emails because they feel too formal, but when someone calls him, he always makes sure to respond. He also shared that if he doesn’t receive a phone call invitation for a wedding, especially if it’s just an email or e-card, he chooses not to attend, as he values the personal touch of someone directly reaching out and saying, “Where are you? Please come, it’s my daughter’s wedding and it would mean a lot.” According to him, that kind of genuine connection has sadly disappeared.
