.’ These stars who are today counted among the most talented, versatile, and bankable actors, had a huge potential right from their debut movie, which now has completed 11 years. Though the journey of every film leaves a special mark in the hearts of the artist, the connection that one shares with their first movie can’t be described in words.

took to their social media handles to express their gratitude on the 11th year anniversary of ‘SOTY’
The National Award Winning actress Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram story to share a video of making a smiley on a frosted window with her fingers. She first drew 11 on the screen and then added a smile to celebrate the anniversary of the film. Along with the video she wrote - “11 years. How time flies.”

Varun Dhawan on the other hand, shared a post from a fan page that had a clip featuring his multiple movies. While sharing the clip, he used the song ‘Ishq Wala Love,’ and wrote “#11yearsofvarundhawan”.

Last but not least, the director of the movie, Karan Johar also expressed his contentment with his Instagram family. Sharing a video uploaded by Dharma Movies, he wrote “11 years of SOTY”. Dharma Movies shared a video that was an amalgamation of all the wonderful moments and songs from the movie.

The rom-com that featured the love triangle between Alia, Varun and Sidharth, and chase to get the Student Of The Year Trophy that turned friends into foe, ‘SOTY’ was an emotion and laughter packed drama.
