Actor
Shehzad Khan
recently spoke about the ongoing discussion surrounding Salman Khan’s relevance in Bollywood and how his recent films lacked the true essence compared to his older ones.
In a conversation with India Today,
Shehzad
dismissed the criticism outright, calling it “nonsense.” Shehzad, who last shared screen space with Salman in the 2019 film 'Bharat', said his rapport with the superstar remains unchanged. He expressed his desire to collaborate with Salman more in the future. “He’s been the same,” he added.
“The best thing about Salman is that he helps with one hand in such a way that the other hand doesn’t even know. That’s his true humility. He actually does less for himself and more for his family and others. He is always there for you—especially for those in need,” he shared.

Shehzad also touched upon the public perception surrounding Salman, acknowledging that the actor has often been misunderstood. He stated that many people cry for him as much as they love him. “This kind of craze—I doubt I’ve seen it for any other actor,” he noted.
Drawing a comparison to legendary actor Rajesh Khanna, Shehzad said the fan frenzy around Salman is equally intense and emotionally driven. “My father used to say Rajesh Khanna was the original superstar. He was given the title 'SRK'—Superstar Rajesh Khanna. Girls of every age were obsessed with him. A six-year-old wanted her brother to be like him; a sixty-year-old wanted her husband or son to be like him. But with Salman, it’s not just love—it’s immense love. People feel deeply for him,” he shared.
Addressing the growing criticism of Salman’s recent films, Shehzad dismissed the narrative of his downfall. “That’s nonsense. Total nonsense. Yes, his films not working is fine, but Salman Khan can never be finished. Until God calls him, he will keep going. There’s no replacement for Salman Khan. Tiger is alive—and Tiger will remain alive. His films will continue to be super-duper hits,” he added.
Shehzad also revealed that Salman often provides opportunities to fellow actors who are struggling, even at the cost of his own projects. “All his scripts that go wrong are because he tries to accommodate his friends who have no work. I won’t take names, but there’s an actor he gave a break to in
Sikandar
. That person said, ‘Bhai, I don’t have work,’ and Salman simply said, ‘Do Sikandar.’ That’s who he is.” Shehzad said that Salman remains humble and selfless.
