During a chat with Lehren, he even joked that soap operas thrive on these themes, with Ekta Kapoor building an empire around saas-bahu dramas.The superstar has often questioned the idea that marriage is always a path to happiness. While many claim it’s the best thing in life, he noted that in reality, several married couples don’t seem as content as they appear. Taking a light-hearted dig, he brought up his father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, as a rare exception—someone who, despite having two wives, seems genuinely happy.
