Russia again declares emergency in Voronezh after Ukrainian drone attacks

After overnight drone attack by Ukraine, Russia has again declared a state of emergency in part of the bordering region of Voronezh.
Russian forces intercepted five drones. Falling debris ignited a

fire

, leading to the detonation of

explosive materials

, said local governor

Alexander Gusev

, according to news agency Reuters.
In the strikes, no buildings were damaged.

However, it altered the authorities, who imposed

emergency measures

in there settlements in the Ostrogozhsky district and

evacuate

200 people.
On August 7, a state of emergency was declared in parts of

Voronezh region

after a Ukrainian drone attack ignited a

warehouse fire

, the governor of the region had announced.

"There were no casualties," said Alexander Gusev on the Telegram messaging app, adding that some residents in the Podgorensky district were being evacuated.
"Detonation of explosive objects continues," Gusev said, indicating ongoing risks in the affected area.
"Several drones were detected and destroyed overnight by

air defence systems

above the Voronezh region," Alexander Gusev wrote on Telegram.
"Their falling debris set off a fire in a depot" in the Podgorenski district where "explosives began to detonate", Gusev said, adding that there were no indications anybody had been hurt.
Russia and Ukraine used drones, including large explosive devices with a range of hundreds of kilometres (miles), extensively since Russia launched its military operation in February 2022.
