Actor-director Rishab Shetty turned 42 today (July 7), and the actor celebrated his special day with his wife, Pragathi Shetty, and the team behind his upcoming movie 'Kantara – Chapter 1'. Rishab had earlier won the National Award for Best Actor for his powerful performance in the first part. The second part of Kantara has been making headlines due to repeated on-set accidents and hurdles for a while, but the makers have promised to deliver an unexpected experience for the audience.

They have not yet dropped an initial glimpse of Rishab from the much-awaited prequel.

Rishab Shetty's work frontOn the work front, Rishab Shetty is all set to portray the iconic Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the historical epic The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Directed by Sandeep Singh, the film is scheduled for release on January 21, 2027. He will also play the lead role in Prasanth Varma’s 'Jai Hanuman'.
