According to reports, Ramoji, breathed his last at a private hospital where he was admitted on June 5 due to breathing problems. A family source revealed to news agencies that he passed away at 4:50 a.m.
His mortal remains were brought to Ramoji Film City, where his last rites were conducted with state honours.
The news of his passing sent shockwaves through the media and entertainment industries, as well as among politicians. Condolences poured in from a cross-section of society.
