Rani rushes to Anil's residence following demise of his mom

, passed away at the age of 90 on Friday due to age-related ailments. She breathed her last at 5:45 PM at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. Nirmal had been facing health issues and was frequently hospitalized in recent months.
Family in Mourning
A wave of grief swept through the

as matriarch Nirmal Kapoor passed away on Friday evening. Having lost their father, veteran producer Surinder Kapoor, in 2011, siblings Anil, Boney, Sanjay, and Reena Marwah are now mourning the loss of their mother. Family members gathered at the residence to receive Nirmal’s mortal remains and make arrangements for the last rites. Anil, Sanjay, and Arjun Kapoor were seen arriving in the ambulance, as mourners gathered in large numbers to pay their respects.

Rani Mukerji Among the First to Arrive
Amongst them was also Anil Kapoor's 'Nayak' co-star Rani Mukerji who was seen rushing to his residence after the news broke. Dressed in an all-white outfit and sporting a spectacled look, Rani was seen arriving to her last respect.

Emotional Moments at the Kapoor Home
Shanaya Kapoor appeared visibly emotional as she arrived at the family residence, her eyes filled with tears. Soon after, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, and Sunita Kapoor were also seen joining the grieving family. Janhvi Kapoor, accompanied by her boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya, stood alongside Anshula Kapoor in support of Boney Kapoor during this difficult time. Several members of the film fraternity, including Javed Akhtar, Padmini Kolhapure, Reema Jain, Ramesh Taurani and his family, as well as Anupam Kher, arrived to extend their heartfelt condolences to the Kapoor family.

Nirmal Kapoor's Enduring Legacy
Nirmal Kapoor is survived by her three sons — Boney, Anil, and Sanjay Kapoor — and daughter Reena Marwah. She was the wife of veteran film producer Surinder Kapoor. While Boney followed in his father's footsteps as a filmmaker, Anil and Sanjay built successful careers as actors. Nirmal and Surinder Kapoor’s legacy lives on through their grandchildren, including Arjun Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Jahaan Kapoor, and Mohit Marwah.
