Pushpa 2 box office: Growth of 71 % after Allu Arjun's arrest

Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna starrer 'Pushpa 2' is just creating history with its huge box office numbers which one hasn't really seen before. The film has just continued to set the cash registers ringing at the box office ever since it released and now on day 10, which was second Saturday, it has seen a huge growth of over 71 percent. This growth comes after Allu Arjun was arrested by the police on Friday and released on Saturday morning.
The premiere show of the movie which was held on December 4, saw a huge

stampede

at Sandhya theatre and that led to the death of a 39-year old woman and injured her son. The victim's husband filed an FIR, which made the police arrest Allu Arjun. But it looks like his arrest has not really affected the film's business. Infact, if anything, there's a huge jump in the business. On its day 10, which is second Saturday, the movie made Rs 62.3 crore, of which Rs 46 crore has come from the Hindi version and Rs 13 crore from the Telugu version.
On Friday, the total collection was only Rs 36.5 crore. So, this kind of growth is just unprecedented. The film's total collection now stands at Rs 824 crore in India according to Sacnilk, in all languages. What's shocking is that of this total collection Rs 498 crore has come from the Hindi version which is more than what the film did in Telugu and this was just unthinkable. The movie has crossed the lifetime collection of 'Jawan' in all languages and even 'RRR'.
The sunday numbers of the movie may just be more than Saturday, also due to the holiday and all the buzz around the movie.
