Akshay Kumar's production company, Cape of Good Films, sent a legal notice to Paresh Rawal demanding Rs 25 crore in damages. The production house alleged that Rawal's exit was abrupt and unprofessional, accusing him of 'abandoning and sabotaging' the project. According to the producers, Rawal had accepted a signing amount of Rs 11 lakh and participated in initial shoots, including a teaser and about three and a half minutes of footage for the film.

They also stated that no complaints were raised by Rawal during this period. The production house claimed that Rawal’s withdrawal caused significant financial loss and disrupted the film's schedule.
