Although the

cricket player

has starred in numerous advertisements, fans of

Virat Kohli

have never seen him in a film. In a recent interview, well-known casting director

Mukesh Chhabra

stated that even if Virat is an excellent actor, he should never join films.

Mukesh

stated that the cricket player should avoid movies even when his career in cricket ends.

During a conversation with

Ranveer Allahbadia

, Mukesh explained the reason behind his thoughts, “He is already a great actor. He is from Delhi, he is a Punjabi. He has seen that life. He has handled success so beautifully. He has maintained himself on every level, competition, looks, fitness, mentally. He is a fan of Chole Bhature, he is a great guy.”
Virat seems to be a "great husband and great father," Mukesh continued. "I met him 5-6 years back at a party, today he is a role model for everybody," he remarked. A generation of cricket players has been inspired by Virat, according to Mukesh.
He was all praises for Virat and called him ‘funny’. Mukesh said, “He is also so funny. He will dance, mimic, his comic timing is great. He is doing very well in making the country proud, he should stay where he is and not join films. He should not join films even after retiring from his cricket career. He is genuinely a smart guy, not a cunning one.” Cricket players like Sreesanth, Ajay Jadeja, and Harbhajan Singh have all made cameo appearances in movies in the past.

Virat and Anushka, who first met on the set of an ad commercial, dated for a few years before tying the knot in 2018. The couple is now parents to daughter Vamika and son Akaay. For the past few months, Virat and Anushka and their kids have been in the UK.
