The boundary dimensions are quite small. 69m straight down the ground and 67m and 70m square boundaries. It looks a good surface. It’s a nice covering of grass, one or two barren patches are there. It’s very hard, it will bounce a bit, even contest between bat and ball.

Samuel Badree and Curtly Ambrose in Pitch Report

Actually we would have bowled first and I'm happy. There will be moisture on the surface in the morning and I hope our bowlers can exploit that. We have been playing good cricket since the last year or two and we have to continue in the same vein. Justin Greaves is back in the side. We are playing four fast bowlers and one spinner.

West Indies skipper Shai Hope at toss

I like to bat first, seems to be a good wicket. If we get a score around 280, it will be good for us. We did very well in the last 3-4 series, we have played really well. We are excited about this series and we want to do well. It's tough as we are missing a few senior guys but some young guys have an opportunity to perform here. We have three fast bowlers and two spinners.

Mehidy Hasan, the skipper of Bangladesh says he is confident in the pitch’s potential for a high-scoring game. He emphasizes the importance of posting over 280 runs by batting longer.
