All in readiness now as the teams and match officials make their way to the ground for the National Anthems. We start with the anthem of Sri Lanka Women, followed by that of New Zealand Women. Live action is not far away.

PITCH REPORT - Ian Bishop is near the pitchside alongside Anjum Chopra. They share that there is glorious sunshine with the temperature being 38 degrees and the players will be tested. Bishop further adds that the boundaries are 57m and 62m square down the ground it will be 73m. Anjum Chopra adds that the teams are going with more spin options and the batters will look to play late and allow the ball to come on.

Sophie Devine, the New Zealand Women, says that they were looking to bat first as well. Shares that Leigh Kasperek comes in for Fran Jonas. Mentions that they need to keep Sri Lanka Women under 120 and try to chase as well as they can. Adds that they have not thought about NRR and they are focussing on a game at a time with results taking care of themselves.

Chamari Athapaththu has won the toss and opted to BAT first. She says that the batting hasn’t gone to plan but they will back the batters. Adds that things have not gone their way but the belief is there in the camp and they are looking to play with positive mindset. Ends by sharing that Sachini Nisansala comes in for Inoka Ranaweera.

If we win our next two games, we give ourselves probably the best chance possible. First, you want to win the game. I think that's the key. You don't want to, I guess, go out there thinking you've got to beat them by X amount of runs and then throw the game. So, I think first you've got to win and take it a game at a time.

Sri Lanka have been very poor in this tournament so far, losing all three games to be eliminated from the semis race with a game in hand. They were absolutely battered in their last game against India and that would have dented their confidence big time.
