Comfortably the best struck stroke of the game so far.

All the pre-match formalities are completed, and we’re all set for the action to kick off! The two umpires make their way out to the middle and are followed by Pakistan fielders who are spreading across the field after a final pep-talk from their skipper in a close-knit huddle. Pakistan players are proudly sporting vibrant orange caps in support of KidzCan Zimbabwe, an organization dedicated to raising awareness and fighting childhood cancer. Joylord Gumbie and Tadiwanashe Marumani are the openers for Zimbabwe! Aamer Jamal has been handed the new ball and will start the proceedings for Pakistan, on debut!

The players, led by the skippers and match officials, are making their way onto the field for the national anthems. To add to the excitement, the sun is finally peeking through the clouds which is a great sign! First up will be the national anthem of Pakistan followed by that of the hosts, Zimbabwe!

Craig Ervine, the skipper of Zimbabwe says they would have wanted to bowl first as well mainly because of the overhead conditions. Adds that their preparation in the last week has been great and they look forward to the series. Mentions that the mood is great in the camp and informs that Brian Bennett and Trevor Gwandu will make their debuts. 

The skipper of Pakistan, Mohammad Rizwan says they will bowl first. Adds that the first hour of the game will probably favor the bowlers hence they have decided to bowl first. Mentions that the confidence of the players is sky-high after the series win against the Aussies. Informs that they have three debutants with Haseebullah, Jamal and Faisal making their debut.
