Lava Shark 5G leaked renders surface

Lava launched the 4G-only Shark back in March, and released it in April. Now, the company is seemingly working on a 5G-capable model, aptly named the Shark 5G. Two marketing renders for this device have been leaked today, showing it in two colorways as you can see below.

The Shark 5G will come in blue and gold, just like the 4G model. With the 5G iteration, you'll also get "5G" branding on the rear alongside the Lava wordmark.

The 5G variant has two cameras on the rear (vs. one for the 4G device) and a circular design for the LED flash array. The camera island itself is reminiscent of the one in the Shark 4G.

Interestingly, the Shark 5G seems to have a 13 MP main camera, whereas the 4G handset had a 50 MP sensor. We assume some cost-cutting was necessary in order to not make the addition of 5G very expensive.

The Lava Shark 5G is expected to launch running Android 15, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and it could be powered by the Unisoc T765 SoC, since the Shark range seems to be Unisoc-focused. It should be affordable, of course, but other details including pricing and exact availability haven't been outed yet. We'll let you know when we find out more about it.
