Karan Johar recently opened up about a “constant fear” of facing difficult questions from his children, Yash and Roohi.
During a Netflix reunion interview for Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives, Karan Johar reflected on how he will eventually have to answer his children’s questions about his life choices, particularly being a

with a “modern family situation.” This revelation emerged in an emotional discussion following an episode where actress Neelam Kothari opened up about her first marriage and divorce.
Karan shared that Neelam’s revelation about her past, especially her emotional conversation with her daughter Ahana, struck a chord with him. He recalled feeling a deep connection to her story, particularly when she recounted her daughter’s reaction to learning about her divorce through online searches. Karan Johar, who teared up during Neelam’s account, acknowledged that as a public figure and single parent, he might face similar moments with his own children as they grow and learn more about his life.
Johar shared, “They will find out things, and I will have to be answerable. Being a single parent, I know I am accountable to my children about so many aspects.” He also thanked Neelam for being open, expressing how her story resonated with his own experience and fears.
While Neelam later married actor Samir Soni in 2011 and adopted a daughter, Karan Johar welcomed his twins in 2017 via surrogacy.
