Kabir recently spoke about his professional bond with Salman, which eventually became deeper and more personal.In a conversation with IndiaTV-ShowBiz, Kabir recalled the time he was approached by producer Aditya Chopra to make a film with a major Bollywood star. He wanted to understand why Aditya was keen on casting a big star. “He told me, ‘Kabir, making a film with a big star is a different beast and a different film altogether, and I feel that you can now step up to that.’ I thought it was very interesting, and then we wrote Tiger,” he said.

Kabir admitted that working with a superstar like Salman came with its own set of dynamics. The script was shaped not out of obligation, but according to what Kabir believed would play to Salman’s strengths. He admitted that there was a great deal of tussling between the two. “It was just the third film of my career, and here I was dealing with Salman at his peak.
