The biographical sports drama has often sparked rumours of being shelved.Now, Indian fast bowler Jhulan Goswami has reacted to the ongoing delay in the release of the film based on her life.According to Hindustan Times, 'Chakda Xpress' was originally scheduled for an OTT premiere in October 2023 but is currently on hold as the producers seek an alternative platform for its release.

clarified that she has not been informed about any release plans. “Mereko aisa koi news nahi hai, aur call mujhe kar rahe sab! Mujhe koi comment nai karna,” she remarked, expressing her decision to refrain from further comments due to a lack of information.Actor Dibyendu Bhattacharya previously told the same media house that the film had been shot very well and shared his concerns about its delay in release.Meanwhile, editor Manas Mittal had earlier told The Hollywood Reporter India that the film was initially planned to debut just before the Cricket World Cup.None of these rumours have been addressed by Anushka’s team over the years. Directed by Prosit Roy, 'Chakda Xpress' also features Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Renuka Shahane, Anshul Chauhan, Koushik Sen, and Mahesh Thakur in key roles.At the same time, Anushka, who recently welcomed her second child Akaay, is reportedly set to move to London with her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli, and their daughter Vamika. The couple is aiming to provide their children with a better environment and reduced media attention as they grow up.
