Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction for the 2024 edition will take place in Dubai on 19 December, a media report said on Friday. This will be the first incident of an IPL auction taking place outside India. The IPL 2023 auction was expected to take place in Istanbul in Turkey but was eventually held in Kochi, Kerala.
However, now the IPL auction is ready to go global, as per News18 CricketNext.
Earlier, it was reported that salary caps will be capped at Rs 100 crore for the 10 IPL teams. This year is also the last of the three-year contract for players and a mega auction will take place next year.
Earlier on Friday, Mumbai Indians traded in Romario Shepherd from Lucknow Super Giants. Shepherd is the first player to move in the current trading window.
