Iowa driver arrested after troopers find corpse in his car

The report citing a statement by the Iowa Department of Public Safety and charging document said, Gasaway's arrest came when he sought assistance from Iowa troopers to jump-start his car and during their interaction, troopers made a shocking discovery: a lifeless body with multiple gunshot wounds concealed beneath a pile of clothing in his passenger seat.
According to the account provided in the affidavit penned by the two responding officers, Gasaway was initially noticed by Iowa state patrol officers shortly after 8 am.
It was during this encounter that Gasaway reportedly disclosed the presence of a Taurus 9mm pistol in his pocket, prompting a search that led to the grim revelation in the passenger seat, the report said.

The report also observed that officials have described the body of Harriel as hidden beneath various clothing items and bearing apparent gunshot injuries and Gasaway to have allegedly mentioned that he and Harriel had a confrontation while traveling together from Cedar Rapids to Des Moines.
