Govt slashes wheat allocation for 10 states to tide over any crisis

The government on Friday reduced the wheat allocation by nearly 40% for 10 states under the food security scheme, NFSA, amid concerns over fall in wheat stock with Food Corporation of India (FCI). This comes in less than a week after it slashed wheat allocation for 11 states under the PM Garib Kalyan Ann Yojna (PMGKAY).
